Homemade Seed Cards
This is a great one for the kids to make with help.
Ingredients:
1) need cream card stock
2) seeds
3) blender
4) water
Tear card stock into 1" squares. Fill blender with the torn card stock to the 3 cup line on blender. Next, add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water. (Just enough water to cover the torn paper.)
Add 1 teaspoon cornstarch to the mixture; blend until the paper is completely mashed into a pulp by the blender.
Spray a baking sheet with a light covering of cooking spray. Be sure to wipe off excess.
Pour pulp on the baking sheet until it is about 1/8" thick. Sprinkle the seeds over it and gently stir or push the seeds into the pulp. Smooth the pulp so the surface is even and there are no holes.
Lay a paper towel gently over the pulp and allow it to soak up excess water. Then, leave out to air-dry over night.
When dry, use a spatula to carefully lift seeded paper from the baking sheet.
Cut into squares, and punch holes in it (one on each side of square) Use string and attach a card with your own saying on it. Letting them know that if they plant your card it will grow.
Enjoy: I have used this and is a great gift to someone that loves to plant...
